Jefferson Capital Systems LLC is a licensed collection company, specializing in debt buying and servicing, consumer bankruptcy purchasing and servicing, and a balance transfer credit card program.

Join our company in the position of Database Developer- contractor. In this position you will work with Database Developers on a variety of projects related to business growth and opportunity.

Responsibilities include:

Ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support production and reporting systems

Troubleshooting of poor running code

Teaching non DBA resources on best practices for coding with SQL Server

Coding and working on development teams to deliver userfriendly applications and solutions

Requirements for this position are:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math or technical field required

8 years experience working with relational database systems

1-3 years of SQL Server experience is required

Experience with SQL 2005 required, 2008 a plus

Extensive understanding and demonstrated usage of SSIS

Experience identifying and proposing solutions to performance problems required

Experience writing stored procedures is highly preferred

Database design/Data Modeling experience preferred

Experience with Data Warehousing is a plus

Experience with SAS preferred

Ability to translate data output to easily readable tables and figures

Strong ability to analyze problems in a logical and systematic manner
