Caregiver Description: Help people with disabilities to live more independently. Be a positive and encouraging role model. Help with everyday basic living skills such as getting ready for the day, meal preparation, household chores, laundry, and cleaning. Take individuals out into the community grocery shopping, to medical appointments, the bank and/or to community events. Assist or perform personal cares ranging from basic grooming to total care.
Caregiver Training: CCRI provides extensive hands-on training for new hires.
Caregiver Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle and pass a three-year driving record check, pass a criminal background check and pass all pre-screening requirements, including employment verifications.
The ideal Caregiver candidate: The ideal candidate has a strong desire to help people, is compassionate and caring, communicates clearly and positively both orally and written, has a "can do" attitude, is willing to learn, is patient, is able to deal with stressful situations, can problem solve, follows directions, is self-motivated, and has an excellent work history.
