Newscast Producer

Job Location: Eden Prairie, MN

KMSP FOX 9, the FOX Owned and Operated Station in Minneapolis/St. Paul seeks an experienced and creative newscast producer. The ideal candidate will provide examples of producing a dynamic, contemporary and memorable news program. Your work must demonstrate compelling storytelling, conversational writing and innovative production techniques which stand out from a traditional newscast.

The Newscast Producer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a news program including editorial content selection, fact-checking, delegation of writing assignments, creation of newscast graphics, timing of the program and any additional duties as assigned and deemed appropriate. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and work efficiently under intense deadlines.

A minimum of three years television experience as a television newscast producer is required to be considered for this position along with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism or equivalent degree.
