CNC Machinist - 8-Axis

Job Location: Maquoketa, WI

Position: CNC Machinist – 8 Axis

Wage: $20.00-22.00/hour

Shift: 2nd

QPS Employment Group an immediate opportunity available for a CNC Machinist at a manufacturer in Maquoketa, WI.  Hours will be from 4:30pm to 3:30am, Monday-Thursday; Fridays are overtime.  This position is direct hire!

Responsibilities:
• Ability to set up and machine the first part to blue print specifications using experience and training in set up of multiple axis lathes in a production environment.  Ability to operate multiple machines.
• Ability to operate and adjust equipment control settings for CNC and check parts for conformity with work specifications  and quality standards  using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Ability to read and interpret production blueprints, and operating procedures, and machine parts listings.
• Familiarity and experience with live tooling on CNC machines with multiple axes (up to eight).
• This position is responsible for the safe operation of all equipment and tasks assigned to them.

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of "G" code programming preferred.
